Super Corridor Indore is one of the most important urban growth areas in central India. It has experienced an increased investment in infrastructure, metro rail lines, growing institutions, and economic activity driven by IT. New residences and commercial projects have sprung up in a short amount of time; however, most of it appears to be somewhat disjointed and car-oriented in the last decade. Even though there are large transportation systems and big institutions in the area, there is not much walkability, neighborhood connectivity, or social infrastructure. Low-cost housing and Climate-friendly public places are not available, either. As things unfold, it is apparent there is a clear division between the ideal vision of the city and the reality of the neighborhood. This thesis digs into how the Super Corridor is shaping up and lays out a neighborhood planning framework centered around people. It is an extension of the concept of TOD withmodifications to suit the social, climatic and institutional environment of Indore. To address this, the research focuses on increasing walkability, accessibility, environmental resilience, mixed-income housing, and enhancing the quality of public spaces through specific planning actions. It all comes together in the GIS-based spatial analysis, satellite image interpretation, land use mapping, field surveys, policy reviews, TOD assessment, and comparative case studies. First, the research breaks down the present scenario regarding land use, block shape, pedestrians, TOD zone, social service facilities, open space, public transport, and housing cost. Then with the above background, thethesis suggests a holistic approach towards urban neighborhood planning. The research also highlights some deficiencies in current practice, including the lack of extensive open space, lack of pedestrian and cycle facility, insufficient last mile connectivity to metro stations, poor public open space availability, inadequate neighborhood-level social facilities, and affordable housing. It includes TOD zoning system, walkable block system, mixed-use system, non-motorized transit system, ecological infrastructure, and an inclusive housing system. Finally, some approaches to implementing The suggested neighborhood plans are given, such as regulatory changes, incremental implementation, institutional coordination, and financing options like land value capture and cross subsidy. In conclusion, the research suggests that only transit infrastructure is not sufficient; there is also a need for an integrated approach to neighborhood planning. The framework provided here provides an addressed model for urban expansion in fast-growing Indian cities to be directed towards living up to the ideals of livability, sustainability, and social inclusion in the process of urban expansion
